BEST TIME TO VISIT SOUTH AMERICA

Weather patterns vary across South America so there will always be somewhere to visit. Remember the seasons are the opposite of the Northern hemisphere.

Inca Trail in Peru: May to June is warm and dry so a great time to visit. July to November is still dry but much cooler (some rains starting in Nov). Wet season is December to April.

Bolivian Salt Flats: July to October for dry sunny weather. January to April the area floods, creating a stunning mirror effect. Tours may be limited at this time though.

Galapagos Islands: There are different animal activities happening throughout the year, so it depends on what you want to see. The warmer weather (December to May) is great for diving and seeing turtles. June to November is cool and dry and a good time to see flamingo mating rituals, sea lions and the hatching of Booby and frigate bird eggs.

Patagonia: Weather can vary between North and South. December to February is generally warmer. Mid-March to April has spectacular Autumn scenery and is generally quieter with tourists. September to October is Spring and a quieter time. June to August is winter and low season but can also be great if skiing is your thing.
