The shoulder seasons Spring (March to May) offer delightful weather, with pretty flowers on the hiking trails.

This is also a great time to see bears on the annual salmon run. May is a very pretty time to see wildflowers in Alaska.Although very cold in winter, and with some National parks closing due the heavy snowfall, this can be a great time for winter sports (Banff and Whistler are very popular) or try adventures such as snow shoeing and dog sledding.

For Northern lights: February to April is a great time to view the lights in the Yukon territory in Canada.

For polar bear watching: Peak time in Canada is October and November or in March to see the cubs merging from the den.

Mexico

Dry season: December to April is dry with very little rainfall and is peak time to visit. December to February are cooler but can still be pretty warm in the high 20’s.

It’s good to check the specific area you are headed to as weather can change depending on which region you are visiting.
