The diverse and vast landscapes are perfect for those stunning Instagram photos. From jungle to mountains and lakes, the country most certainly delivers those breathtaking moments. Here are 10 Instagram-worthy spots to get you inspired.

Salar de Uyuni

Catus plants, against blue sky, Salar de Uyuni

The salt flats of Salar de Uyuni are one of the biggest draws for travellers into the country. For miles there is nothing but white salt and blue skies. The bare landscape makes it a fun place to take ‘perspective’ photos (google it to see loads of creative pictures).

Laguna Verde

icy blue lake, Laguna Verde

This lake is known for it’s emerald, icy green colour that stands out against the backdrop of mountains and blue sky. The colours are absolutely gorgeous- this one won’t even need that Instagram filter.

Laguna Colorada

Colourful waters, Laguna Colorada,

Also seen on the salt flat tour, this lake is known as the rainbow lake for its variety of colours. Pinks, blues, reds and white colours really make this lake standout.

Train Graveyard

Abandoned train, Bolivian salt flats

At the start of the Salar de Uyuni tour are these abandoned trains. Old train tracks, desert, graffiti- says Instagram all over it.

Death Road

Take a cycle tour down the worlds most dangerous road and get some shots of this tiny road along the edge of the mountain. Only for the daring!

Lake Titicaca

Boat, Lake Titicaca

This gorgeous lake also bordering Peru, allows the chance to visit several of the islands and see how the local people live. The orange straw huts and boats give a striking ‘pop’ from the blue lake and sky.

La Paz

La Paz, Bolivia

The capital city has some interesting places, like the lookout over the city, with mountain views in the back ground to the quirky streets and witches markets.

Active Volcano’s

salt flat tour

On day 3 of the salt flat tour (I would recommended this tour if you haven’t figured that out already!) you will find geysers and active volcano’s. With steam rising from the ground and the rocky landscape, you could be mistaken for being on planet Mars!

Termas de Polques Hot Springs

Hot Springs

These hot springs are a perfect way to relax during the dusty jeep tour and are literally in the middle of nowhere, allowing for some cool and different photos.

Amazon Rainforest

The Amazon is the largest river in the world and definitely worth an Instagram moment. From the huge river to exploring the mainland jungle, there’s photo opportunities around every corner.
