UNITED STATES TRAVEL GUIDE
The USA is a hugely diverse country that’s holds something for everyone. Whether its heading to the big cities like New York, LA, Las Vegas, Chicago & Miami to trekking around Yellowstone National Park and everything in between.
There are some stunning walking trails to suit all outdoor adventurists, gorgeous beaches for those wanting a more relaxed pace and delicious food scenes like the deep south barbeque ribs or fresh bagels in NYC. And who can resist going to get pancakes in a 24/7 American diner?!
Each state has something unique to offer. Road trip down the famous Route 66, lounge on a deck chair on a Florida beach, surf in Hawaii, go hiking in bear country, or soak up the culture and art in New York. There’s so much cultural diversity in the United States with many different nationalities.
If you’re looking for the ultimate adventure and fun filled trip, then head to the USA.
SOLO FEMALE TRAVEL IN THE USA
The United States can be a very safe place to travel alone. I would be more cautious if driving out into the country on empty stretches of road and to more isolated areas but in the main cities and towns there should be no problem.
There are plenty of transport and accommodation options and loads of backpacker hostels to make friends with other travellers. Many women travel solo to the USA and have an amazing time doing it- so what are you waiting for?!
BEST TIME TO VISIT THE USA
There’s not a bad time to visit the United States, as the seasons vary quite dramatically.
The summer months (June to August) are a peak time to visit and great for beach holidays but it can get very hot for hikers.
The shoulder seasons Spring (March to May) offer delightful weather, with pretty flowers on the hiking trails.
Fall or Autumn (September to November) is also great for hikers, as well as seeing gorgeous golden hues of the leaves changing colours.
Winter is low season but offers great snowy escapes, perfect for celebrating the Christmas holidays. Be aware that snowfall can be heavy in certain areas. Also, August and September are hurricane season so may not be the best time to visit.
For Yellowstone: March to May is great for bear watching.
